Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Specialist. The role will support core accounting, reporting, and compliance activities while working closely with engagement teams and regional finance functions.Preference will be given to Arabic-speaking candidates and those already based in Qatar; however, all suitably qualified applicants—including candidates from abroad—will be considered.Key AccountabilitiesMaintain accurate accounting records in compliance with IFRS, firm policies, and local Qatar regulationsSupport month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliationPerform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding itemsProcess accounts payable, employee expense claims, vendor payments, and intercompany transactionsPrepare and review client invoices, ensuring accuracy of time and expense allocationsMonitor accounts receivable aging and support collection activities in coordination with engagement teamsAssist in revenue recognition processes in accordance with firm and IFRS guidelinesSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance reporting for internal cost centersPrepare management reports, financial schedules, and analysis for leadership reviewEnsure compliance with Qatar tax regulations, including VAT filing, reporting, and documentationLiaise with external auditors and support statutory and internal auditsMaintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to global and regional finance policiesParticipate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracyHandle confidential financial and client-related information with integrity and professionalismQualificationsEducation & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 8-10 years of relevant accounting experienceExperience working in Qatar or the GCC region is an advantageSkills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of ac:counting principles and financial processesProficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar)Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 2–4 years of relevant accounting experienceDemonstrated experience as a General Ledger SpecialistStrong hands-on experience in Bookkeeping and daily accounting operationsProven background in Accounts Payable and Cost of Sales processingSolid experience managing Accounts Receivable, billing, and collectionsExperience working in Qatar or the GCC region is an advantageExcellent attention to detail and strong analytical skillsAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsFluency in English is requiredArabic language skills are highly preferredOther RequirementsCandidates currently residing in Qatar are preferredCandidates from abroad will also be consideredAbility to join within a short notice period is an advantage#J-18808-Ljbffr
