Your Day to DayThe Assistant Chief Steward plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization within the hotel's food and beverage operations. This position supports the Chief Steward in overseeing the stewarding team, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and upholding the luxury service standards that our guests expect.Assisting the Chief Steward in managing all aspects of the stewarding department, including staffing, training, and performance managementOverseeing the daily operations of dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, and equipment sanitation, ensuring adherence to all health and safety standardsMonitoring inventory levels and assisting in ordering supplies, equipment, and chemicals necessary for the departmentConducting regular inspections of kitchen areas, storage rooms, and equipment to ensure cleanliness and organizationCollaborating with the culinary team to coordinate service needs and maintain high standards of cleanliness during events and meal serviceDeveloping and implementing training programs for new staff, focusing on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and equipment useAssisting in the development and management of departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising qualityFostering a positive and cooperative work environment, encouraging teamwork and open communication among staff.Addressing and resolving any operational issues or guest concerns promptly and effectivelyStaying informed about industry trends and innovations in stewarding and sanitation practices What We Need From You High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality management or related field preferredMinimum of two years experience in stewarding or related roles, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort settingStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse teamKnowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service and kitchen operationsProficient in inventory management and cost control What We Offer We'll reward all your hard work with competitive salary and benefits.
