Assistant Professor in Data Science/ AnalyticsUnited Arab Emirates (On-site)Job DescriptionJob Title: Assistant Professor in Data Science/ AnalyticsCollege/Office: College of Engineering and ITQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:A Ph.D. in data science/ Analytics or related fields from an internationally reputable universityA distinguished research record in the field of data science, which is demonstrated by publishing in top international journals and conferences (Scopus and SCIE)Strong assurance to distinction in teaching, curriculum development, and learning outcome assessmentExperience in teaching data science and computing courses at the undergraduate levelDemonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in performing professional services.Ability to communicate effectively in EnglishExcellent interpersonal skills.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and teach undergraduate courses in Data Science/ Analytics and Computer ScienceEngage in innovative and technology-based approaches to learning and teachingParticipate in committees at the departmental, college, and/or university levels as assignedActively engage in promoting the growth of the Ajman UniversityAbility to provide consultancy services to researchers and the business community.Assess and track each student's progress and give feedback to support ongoing success.Conduct high-quality research in his/her own field and publish research outcomes in reputable journals and conferencesEnsure a respectful and culturally sensitive learning environment in all college-focused activitiesEstablish and maintain effective work relationships across the organization and communityMotivate and inspire confidence in others (students and colleagues) to overcome limitations to personal growth and successActively seek out methods, procedures, and resources to best achieve course and lesson objectivesMaintain relationships with students that are conducive to learningPerform miscellaneous job-related duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingFamiliarity with the “Credit Hour” academic systemAbility to supervise student workAbility to provide academic advising for studentsAbility to conduct independent research and publish in reputable journals and conferencesAbility to work effectively with diverse team membersKnowledge of academic program planning and implementationFamiliarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS)APPLICATION PROCESSA completed application will include:A letter of interest addressing qualifications for the position.A statement of teaching philosophy and research.Copies of transcripts of all graduate coursework.A list of three professional references with names, titles, phone numbers, and email addresses- including a current or previous supervisor.#J-18808-Ljbffr
