Job Description
Job SummaryThe Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports the planning, coordination, and execution of construction and development projects from initiation through completion. The role works closely with Project Managers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.The APM assists in project scheduling, documentation, cost monitoring, procurement coordination, and stakeholder communication while supporting continuous improvement across project delivery processes.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination and ExecutionAssist in developing and maintaining project scopes, schedules, budgets, and execution plans.Coordinate project activities with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal departments.Track project milestones and monitor progress against project schedules.Support construction and development monitoring and report project status to senior management.Assist with tendering, procurement, and contract administration processes.Prepare project documentation including reports, meeting minutes, and progress updates.Maintain project documentation systems and ensure proper document control and record management.Track change orders, project variations, and approvals.Support preparation of executive summaries and project performance reports.Financial and Budget SupportAssist in monitoring project budgets, cost controls, and financial tracking.Review contractor invoices and payment applications for accuracy and compliance.Track project expenditures against approved budgets.Support project forecasting and financial reporting activities.Stakeholder and Communication ManagementCoordinate project meetings and track follow-up actions.Provide regular project updates to internal and external stakeholders.Support resolution of project-related issues and escalations.Maintain professional relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors.Compliance and Quality AssuranceEnsure project activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.Assist in quality control inspections and project handover procedures.Support project risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue management.Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Line Manager.QualificationsEducationBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field.Experience2–5 years of experience in project management, construction, facilities management, or property development.Knowledge of project lifecycle management and construction processes.Experience supporting budget tracking, procurement, and contract administration.Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders is preferred.Technical KnowledgeProject and Program ManagementConstruction and Development ProcessesContract AdministrationCommercial and Business ManagementPlanning and SchedulingBudget Management and Cost ControlSkillsStrong organizational and time management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).Familiarity with project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, or Procore.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.High level of attention to detail and accuracy.Core CompetenciesAccountabilityInitiative and InnovationOrganizational CommitmentTeamwork and CollaborationAnalytical ThinkingAdaptability and FlexibilityCustomer OrientationRelationship BuildingIntegrity and ProfessionalismInterpersonal CommunicationKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)On-time completion of project deliverablesBudget variance and cost control performanceAccuracy and timeliness of project reportingStakeholder satisfactionCompliance with company standards and regulatory requirementsKey ChallengesEnsuring timely and compliant project delivery within the asset management program.Managing multiple stakeholders including client departments, contractors, and consultants.Supporting project delivery in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Maintaining effective communication across project teams and operational departments.Supporting the implementation of asset management standards aligned with ISO 55001 and ISO 27001.#J-18808-Ljbffr
