Our teams work across multi‑disciplinary infrastructure and complex urban development, with a strong focus on quality, innovation, and client partnership.About the RoleRobert Bird Group is seeking a senior Urban Civil Infrastructure professional to lead multidisciplinary design delivery across major infrastructure and masterplanning projects in the UAE.This is a leadership role requiring strong technical depth across roads, grading, stormwater, and wet utilities, combined with team leadership and commercial capability.Key ResponsibilitiesLead urban civil infrastructure design from masterplanning through detailed designOversee stormwater drainage strategy and hydraulic modellingIntegrate roads, grading, and wet utilities designProvide technical governance and peer reviewLead and mentor infrastructure planners and civil engineersSupport bids, fee proposals, and client engagementEducation and QualificationBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory)Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources, Hydrology, or related field preferredChartered Engineer status or working towards chartership preferred15+ years of urban civil infrastructure experienceExperience within reputable consultanciesDemonstrated team leadership and client-facing experienceThis is a strategic Associate Director-level role with a pathway to Director growth.Core Design CompetenciesA strong mix of the following is required:Earthworks and bulk gradingSite grading and levels designRoadworks and pavement designSigns and linemarkingStormwater drainage and subsurface drainageHydrology and flood riskWastewater, potable water, fire water, and irrigation networksSoftware RequirementsMandatory:InfoWorks ICMHEC-RASHEC-HMSInfoDrainageTUFLOWWhy Join SJ/RBGJoin a global, multidisciplinary consultancy shaping sustainable, people-centric environments across 40+ countries.
