Job Description

Associate Partner (Valuation and Advisory)Basedin our Riyadh Office, we’re looking to recruit a Royal Institution of CharteredSurveyors (RICS) qualified Associate Partner with a flexible attitude andvariable skill set to work primarily on commercial valuation instructions butalso to be capable of undertaking research-related advisory work.ResponsibilitiesIncrease the range and quantity of instructions viabusiness generation to ensure development of the department as a whole.Undertake such valuations in an accurate andprofessional manner.Understand and be proficient in the use of all theoffice technology employed in undertaking valuations.Attend events to promote the department and firmamongst clients and professional organizations.Respond quickly to client enquiries.Prepare reports with support from junior staffmembers.Acquire and build a sound knowledge of propertymarkets and legal case law.Take a close interest in the property press and thenational press with a view to building up a wide perspective of the propertymarket and related activities.Adhere to all deadlines set for the completion ofwork.Maintain neat tidy orderly file records ofvaluations, including computer files, at all times.Fully understand office records and vettingprocedures and be able to make good use of all the available informationcontained therein.Maintain confidentiality in respect of all workundertaken by the Department and to be aware of what is likely to be sensitiveinformation.Abide by the principle of Continuing ProfessionalDevelopment as required by the RICS.Comply with Knight Frank Best Practice procedures.Ensure consistency between project objectives andproject work plan and take responsibility for project strategy, objectives andscope.Develop knowledge of leading-edge issues in theindustry through speaking or writing publicly (to be undertaken in conjunctionwith the research team.)Liaise with members of other departments and to getto know the individuals and their markets both for the purpose of obtaininginformation in support of valuations and also to look for opportunities forcross selling of business.Work closely with the strategic consultancy andresearch teams to ensure accuracy of data and market information used for allassignments.Assist with oversight of others and manage thelocal team allocating workloads appropriately, often for multiple complex anddiverse projects.Monitor resources, team communications and tasks toachieve project work plan and client deadlines.Manage service delivery and delegate appropriatelevel of autonomy and decision making.Manage junior team members and mentor / trainanalysts and interns.Produce project plans for complex projects and takeresponsibility for monitoring, QA and best practice.Act as a role model on policies regarding documentstorage and filing, clean desk policies and all internal operational policies.Participate in firm wide marketing of the business.Take a lead in the development of Knight Frankawareness in the market through marketing and business development.Attend pitches and presentations with senior clientpersonnel and stand in for the Partner as required.Support Knight Frank senior management where neededboth through business development and client management.Refer business leads or other potential fee earningopportunities into other parts of the Middle East and Global business.Build and maintain goodwill, confidentiality, andtrust with prospective and existing clients at all times in order to foster theprofessional image of the Partnership.Other tasks as required.Skills and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in real estate or a RICSaccredited degree.Minimum 7 years’ commercialvaluation experience in mature and emerging markets.Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.Clear and logical thinker with well-developedreport writing skills.Commitment and determination to investigatethoroughly and seek out information necessary for the accurate valuation ofproperty.Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.Strong team player with the ability to buildrelationships.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced anddynamic environment.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handlesensitive information.Ability to work flexible schedules to ensuresuccessful and timely delivery of projects.Understanding of regional business culture andregulations.The ability to understand and make use of computersand information technology (Knight Frank internal systems).Certifications and Licenses: MRICS and RICSRegistered Valuer required. Taqeem qualifications would be advantageous.Software:Microsoft Office programs to a proficient level. Proficiency using ArgusEnterprise, Argus Developer and Estate Master.Language skills: Fluency in English, written andverbal.
