<div><p>Amazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly, and we are looking for Engineering Operations Technician Interns to join our expanding Data Center team. This internship is designed as a potential pathway to full-time employment. Interns who demonstrate strong performance throughout their internship and are successful upon completion may be considered for a full-time Engineering Operations Technician position, subject to available open roles and business needs at that time.</p><h3>Candidate Profiles</h3><ul><li><b>Recent 2025 Graduates – Mechanical/Electrical Engineering</b><br/>Recently graduated (or due to graduate by early 2026) with a degree or technical certification in a relevant field such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Internship start dates are flexible, from April to October 2026.</li><li><b>Final‑Year Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Students (Graduating 2026)</b><br/>Currently in final year of studies in a relevant field such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Internship start dates are flexible, from April to October 2026.</li></ul><p>Note: Amazon does not sponsor immigration for this role, including for H‑1B, TN, and other non‑immigrant visas.</p><h3>About the Role</h3><p>As an intern, you will provide technical support to Amazon within its owned and operated data centers. The position involves ensuring that the data center’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems operate at 100% availability while maintaining first‑class customer service to the teams and groups within the data centers. All interns will be exposed to both independent work and team‑based collaboration. Work prioritisation, organisational skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly are critical to success.</p><h3>Duties&Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Maintain mechanical and electrical equipment</li><li>Assist with root cause analysis of equipment failures</li><li>Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack‑level events within internal SLA</li><li>Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment</li><li>Utilise internal CMMS to manage building workflows</li><li>Interact with third‑party vendors and contractors working on site</li></ul><h3>Physical Requirements</h3><ul><li>Work at heights and from ladders</li><li>Regularly lift and/or move up to 49 pounds unassisted and participate in group lifts for 50 pounds or more</li><li>Use hands to manipulate small wires and objects</li></ul><h3>Internship Structure</h3><p>Amazon internships are full‑time (40 hours/week) for 12 consecutive weeks. Interns must report to work onsite on a daily basis, typically following a day schedule, Sunday–Thursday.</p><p>Interns who successfully complete the internship and demonstrate strong performance may be considered for a full‑time Engineering Operations Technician position. Full‑time roles operate on a rotating shift pattern, which may include days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
