We believe in an open and decentralized world, where we play a pivotal role in powering decisions and insights to drive greater understanding and adoption of cryptocurrencies.</p><h3>The Role</h3><p>As BD Manager for our API product line, you’ll own the end-to-end sales cycle for CoinMarketCap’s data API offerings. You’ll work with exchanges, DeFi protocols, fintech apps, data aggregators, and institutional clients to help them leverage CMC’s market-leading crypto data through our API solutions.</p><h3>What You’ll Do</h3><ul><li>Own the full sales cycle for CMC’s API products — from prospecting and demo to close and expansion</li><li>Identify and engage new API customers across exchanges, DeFi protocols, fintech platforms, data aggregators, and institutional/TradFi firms</li><li>Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified API opportunities, tracking progress and forecasting revenue</li><li>Understand client data needs and propose the right API tier, endpoints, and integration approach</li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact between API clients and internal teams (product, engineering, support) for onboarding and issue resolution</li><li>Expand revenue from existing API clients by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities</li><li>Stay current on competitor API offerings, pricing, and market trends to sharpen CMC’s positioning</li><li>Collaborate with Product to relay client feedback and influence the API roadmap</li></ul><h3>What You Bring</h3><ul><li>3+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, ideally selling API/data/SaaS products</li><li>Strong network within the crypto industry — exchanges, DeFi, fintech, or institutional crypto</li><li>Solid understanding of APIs, data products, and how technical buyers evaluate them</li><li>Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets</li><li>Fluency in English (native level); additional languages are a bonus</li><li>Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels</li><li>Strong organizational skills and comfort working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment</li><li>BS/BA in business, marketing, computer science, or a related field</li></ul><h3>Nice to Have</h3><ul><li>Experience selling crypto market data or financial data APIs specifically</li><li>Familiarity with REST/WebSocket APIs and developer documentation</li><li>Existing relationships with exchanges, trading desks, or institutional crypto firms</li><li>Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
