Civil Foreman (Fitout)

OverviewThe Civil Foreman is responsible for overseeing and managing all civil and structural works in fitout projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently, safely, and according to project specifications. The role involves supervising site teams, coordinating with subcontractors, and liaising with project engineers and site managers to ensure high-quality workmanship and timely project completion.Key ResponsibilitiesSite Supervision & ExecutionSupervise and oversee all civil works, including partitions, flooring, ceilings, painting, plastering, and other structural modifications related to fitout projects.Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and industry standards.Assign tasks to site workers and subcontractors, ensuring efficient workflow.Monitor daily site activities and provide progress updates to project managers.Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure high standards of workmanship.Coordination & CommunicationCoordinate with other trades (electrical, mechanical, architectural) to ensure smooth project execution.Liaise with project engineers, site managers, and subcontractors to address technical issues.Attend site meetings and provide input on civil work progress and challenges.Health & Safety ComplianceEnforce safety regulations and ensure compliance with company HSE policies.Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks for site workers.Ensure all civil works adhere to local safety codes and construction standards.Material & Resource ManagementPlan and request required materials, tools, and equipment in advance to avoid project delays.Ensure proper handling, storage, and utilization of materials to minimize wastage.Maintain site records, including work progress reports, material usage logs, and daily reports.Troubleshooting & Problem-SolvingIdentify and resolve site challenges related to civil works.Provide technical guidance and support to the workforce.Report major site challenges and propose solutions to project engineers or management.Qualifications & RequirementsDiploma or technical certification in Civil Engineering or a related field.Minimum 5 yrs of experience in civil works, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role within the fitout industry.Strong knowledge of interior fitout works, including drywall, false ceilings, tiling, and finishing works.Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Good communication and problem-solving abilities.Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to civil works.Proficiency in using MS Office and reporting tools.#J-18808-Ljbffr
