<div><p><b>Civil Technical Support Engineer – HV&EHV Substation and OHTL Projects</b></p><p><b>Organization:</b>Nesma Infrastructure and Technology (NIT)</p><p><b>Department:</b>Engineering / Operation</p><p><b>Location:</b>Saudi Arabia</p><p><b>Grade:</b>C1</p><p><b>Reports To:</b>Civil Technical Support Engineer</p><h3>Position Overview</h3><p>The Civil Technical Support Engineer provides technical expertise and support for HV and EHV substation and OHTL projects. The role ensures that design intent is maintained, compliance with standards is achieved, and civil works are fully integrated with electrical and mechanical systems. It requires close coordination with clients, project teams, and site personnel, along with proactive management of design activities and on-site supervision to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Prepare and manage the design submission schedule and coordinate with designers to ensure timely deliverables</li><li>Follow up with site teams to align design priorities with ongoing construction activities</li><li>Review civil and architectural submittals for compliance with PTS, codes, constructability, and cost implications</li><li>Ensure all required submittals are submitted through coordination with project teams</li><li>Obtain necessary inputs from electrical, mechanical, and project teams to avoid design delays</li><li>Apply value engineering principles to optimize design efficiency and cost</li><li>Coordinate with the Estimation team to ensure alignment between drawings and BOQ</li><li>Ensure integration between civil, electrical, and mechanical designs</li><li>Verify compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards</li><li>Provide technical support to construction teams during execution</li><li>Maintain proper documentation of design submissions, revisions, and approvals</li><li>Review SEC comments and ensure all required actions are addressed</li><li>Coordinate with consultants (SEC) to clarify comments and expedite approvals</li><li>Track design changes and ensure updates are reflected in drawings and communicated to site teams</li><li>Develop and maintain a Design Issue Log to track challenges and solutions</li><li>Monitor design progress and identify potential risks</li><li>Resolve design-related issues with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders</li><li>Support preparation of RFIs and technical clarifications</li><li>Assist in maintaining project schedules for timely design delivery</li><li>Conduct site visits to verify implementation and resolve issues</li><li>Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, and inspections</li><li>Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team</li></ul><h3>Required Skills and Qualifications</h3><h3>Functional Skills&Knowledge</h3><ul><li>Strong knowledge of civil and structural design for substations and OHTL projects</li><li>Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, STAAD, ETABS, Civil 3D, Revit, Google Earth</li><li>Good understanding of Saudi codes, standards, and regulations</li><li>Strong technical writing and communication skills in English</li></ul><h3>Managerial Skills</h3><ul><li>Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage design schedules</li><li>Capability to lead and coordinate small engineering teams</li><li>Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills</li><li>Effective resource and task management</li></ul><h3>Interpersonal Skills</h3><ul><li>Strong communication and coordination abilities</li><li>Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders</li><li>Capability to handle pressure and manage multiple priorities</li><li>Strong teamwork and collaboration mindset</li><li>High attention to detail and commitment to quality</li><li>Proactive and solution-oriented approach</li></ul><h3>Personal Attributes</h3><ul><li>Strong ownership and accountability</li><li>Results-driven mindset</li><li>High integrity and professionalism</li><li>Adaptability and resilience</li><li>Continuous improvement attitudeStrong attention to detail and quality</li></ul><h3>Qualifications&Experience</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering</li><li>Minimum 8 years of experience in civil and structural design for HV and EHV substations</li><li>Experience in multidisciplinary coordination and site support is preferred</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
