Job Description

Position OverviewWe are looking for an experienced South Indian Chef specializing in traditional and contemporary dishes.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook hot dishes such as sauces, soups, main courses and accompaniments according to menu specifications and quality standards.Assist in mise en place, portioning ingredients and assembly of menu items for service within the hot kitchen section.Support Chef de Partie and other senior chefs in the efficient running of kitchen operations.Maintain strict compliance with food safety, sanitation and hygiene regulations at all times.Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and correctly; report defects or hazards as required.Keep workstations, hot kitchen areas, equipment and storage areas clean, organised and presentable.Adhere to recipe guidelines, portion control measures and wastage minimisation policies.Participate in kitchen training, daily briefings and development sessions as directed by senior management.Assist with stock rotation, labelling and day-to-day inventory management for hot kitchen ingredients.Required Skills & ExperienceMinimum 1-2 years' experience in a hot kitchen environment, ideally within high-end hotels, restaurants or private residences.Strong foundation in basic cooking techniques such as sautéing, roasting, grilling and boiling.Understanding of kitchen safety, HACCP procedures and allergen awareness.Keen attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and ability to follow instructions precisely.Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced multicultural team environment.Flexible professional attitude with a willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.Good spoken English; additional language skills are an advantage.#J-18808-Ljbffr
