Job Title: Commodity TraderLocation: DubaiCompany OverviewOur Client is a leading agribusiness group specializing in the trading, processing, and distribution of agricultural commodities. With a strong presence in the Middle East and Africa, the company is expanding its trading division in the UAE, aiming to strengthen its position in the global market. The new division will focus on trading key commodities such as corn and soybean, with additional opportunities in wheat and edible oils.Role OverviewThe Commodity Trader will be responsible for driving the trading operations for corn and soybean, wheat and edible oil ensuring achieving sales targets in line with and sales strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of global commodity markets, strong relationships with suppliers and buyers, and expertise in risk management.Key ResponsibilitiesAchieve assigned sales targets across focus markets.Develop and execute trading strategies for Agri-commodities like corn, soybean, soybean meals, wheat and edible oils across GCC, Levant, North Africa, Iraq and Sudan.Identify, negotiate, and manage contracts with suppliers and buyers across international markets.Monitor market trends, geopolitical factors, and supply‑demand dynamics to optimize trading opportunities.Expand the company’s trading network by building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, processors, and logistics providers.Oversee risk management strategies, including price hedging and market exposure control.Collaborate with finance, logistics, and legal teams to ensure seamless execution of trades.Explore new trading opportunities in all assigned commodities to support business expansion.Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.RequirementsProven experience in commodity trading, with a strong focus on corn and soybean.Additional experience in wheat and edible oil trading is a plus.8+ years experience in commodity trading.Strong network within the global agribusiness and trading markets.Strong network with customers in focus markets (GCC, Levant, Iraq and NA) to enable achieving sales targets.Expertise in risk management, market analysis, and contract negotiation.Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure trading environment.Excellent communication, analytical, and decision‑making skills.Willingness to be based in Dubai and travel as required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
