Job Title: Construction Lead – Coating & Insulation (Offshore Projects)Location: Onshore / Offshore Fabrication Yar, QatarContract Type: 3-year contractSchedule: Project-BasedPosition SummaryAn opportunity is available for an experienced Construction Lead specialising in coating and insulation works to support a major offshore energy project. The role focuses on ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient execution of fabrication yard activities, from planning through to completion.You will provide technical and supervisory support to contractors and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with engineering requirements, project standards, and offshore execution requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesConstruction Execution – Coating & InsulationOversee execution of coating and insulation works within offshore topsides fabrication scopeSupport EPC contractors in delivering safe, efficient, and compliant construction activitiesEnsure adherence to project objectives including safety, quality, and scheduleTechnical and Constructability SupportReview engineering deliverables to ensure constructability and compliance with project requirementsSupport resolution of technical issues through coordination with engineering and contractor teamsReview and assess deviations from construction standards and provide technical inputProject Monitoring and ReportingMonitor contractor progress and identify risks, deviations, or performance issuesPrepare and review progress reports highlighting key concerns and corrective actionsEnsure alignment of reporting across contractor and project teamsStakeholder and Contractor CoordinationLiaise with contractors, subcontractors, engineering teams, and operations stakeholdersEnsure effective coordination across coating and insulation activitiesSupport smooth execution across construction, pre-commissioning, and completion phasesSafety, Quality and ComplianceEnsure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standardsParticipate in risk assessments, technical meetings, and project kick-off sessionsEnsure adherence to applicable industry codes, standards, and project proceduresContinuous Improvement and Lessons LearnedContribute to project lessons learned and improvement initiativesSupport implementation of best practices across construction activitiesRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related disciplineMinimum 8 years of experience in oil and gas construction projectsAt least 1 year of supervisory experience in coating and insulation scopesStrong understanding of fabrication, construction execution, and completionsExperience in offshore/onshore yard environmentsKnowledge of industry standards, HSE requirements, and execution methodologiesStrong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
