You will manage multidisciplinary project teams consisting of datacentre consultants, architects and engineers, and work closely with clients and key stakeholders to achieve optimal results while contributing to our ambition to be the World\'s leading Datacenter Consultant. You will also play an active role in improving internal business processes and sharing knowledge within your field.Main responsibilities of the roleAs a Design Manager (MCF/ Data Centres), you are responsible for leading multidisciplinary design assignments and ensuring high quality output across special datacentre disciplines including Electrical, Mechanical, Architectural, Structural, Civil, Fire, Security, Controls, and Telecoms. You manage the full design process, guide teams across borders, ensure alignment with client requirements and industry standards, and drive innovation throughout the project lifecycle.Manage the design process, quality and budget for multidisciplinary teams of 40 to 60 employees;Create and manage the design delivery schedule and distribute workload within the team;Lead and challenge multidisciplinary design solutions and changes;Work closely with clients and lead engineers to ensure vital design solutions comply with requirements, local codes and industry standards;Coordinate and optimise design with multidisciplinary teams and external parties, and communicate innovative ideas and designs to clients and colleagues.Where you will workAt Haskoning, you will join an independent, employee-owned international consultancy that combines engineering, design, and consultancy services with software and technology. Our global Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team provides a multidisciplinary package of consultancy services for our datacentre clients. We provide strategic, tactical, and operational advice to our clients, including colocation datacentres, internet service providers, and telecom companies. Our team consists of colleagues with all kinds of different expertise. For example, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction, civil, structure, building, architecture, fire safety, control engineering, and security technology. Together we use our knowledge and expertise to develop integrated designs for Data Centres.Curious about our work? Besides that, you have:Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree is preferred);Has over 5 years of experience managing multidisciplinary design, engineering, and construction projects, preferably in data centres or other relevant sectors (local experience is preferred);Shows an affinity with digital and automated design and engineering processes (BIM360, CDE);Possesses good knowledge of applicable codes, standards, best practices and local regulations in the design and construction industry, and a good understanding of the daily (operational) business of clients;Demonstrates excellent communication skills towards colleagues and clients, and is fluent in English (and preferably Arabic)You will be based in Riyadh, KSA, being p
