Draughtsman - Electrical

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Draughtsman with hands‑on experience in designing industrial electrical control systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in creating electrical schematics, panel layouts, and BOMs using AutoCAD 2D and ePlan, and have a solid understanding of NEC, UL standards, and AC/DC circuit design. Responsibilities include preparing detailed construction drawings, performing load and SCCR calculations, and supporting field installations.ResponsibilitiesDevelop electrical and controls system design solutions based on engineering principles.Develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and BOM's.Provide support to field electricians.RequirementsExperience in Electrical panel Construction Drawings.Hand on experience and Knowledge of ePlan & AutoCad 2DKnowledge and understanding of AC / DC power circuits, pushbuttons, circuit breakers, power supplies, contactors, relays, PLC's.Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NFPA 70).Ability to interpret NEC for Control Panel to meet the NEC and or field installation.Ability to calculate conductor sizing, de-rating, temperature de-rating.Perform three phase and single‑phase load calculations.Perform SCCR calculations.Highly organized with strong analytical skills.Safety‑minded and follow safety regulations.PreferenceDesign to UL Standards for Industrial Control Panels.Technical/other training or better in Building Management Systems.ResponsibilitiesTo prepare shop drawing.Development of products as per the customer specification, sizing and measurements.To refer and understand the scope of work of the projects.Regular updating of drawing register.Updation of drawings.To carry out the main drawing based on the specification by the Manager- Projects.Review the site details with Engineers/Managers-Projects/Architect.To provide related projects details to sales department based on the customer supplied drawings/details measured from the site.To send drawings to the client for approval.Record all the drawings distribution in drawing control register.About UsFounded in 1971, the Al Shirawi Group has been serving people & industry for the last five decades.
