The Institute offers a number of art‑related programs, including educational initiatives, local and international creative art residencies, and art exhibitions to encourage artistic production in the Kingdom. The Institute aspires to promote the Saudi creative scene on an international scale to build dialogue and the exchange of ideas to raise society’s awareness of the value and appreciation of the arts.Purpose of the RoleTo support MAI's education strategy with the development, implementation & execution of educational programs that serve creatives and promote the value of the arts.To leverage program impact through collaborations with artists, communities, and educational institutions.AccountabilitiesReporting directly to the Education Director, the Education Senior Manager shares accountability for the allocation of financial funds and materials and for communicating with team members on the inputs and facilities required for the implementation of MAI's educational programs.ResponsibilitiesThe Education Senior Manager is responsible for the design and development of MAI's Creative & Educational Programs accompanying MAI's exhibitions and other in‑house & joint educational initiatives. This includes the outreach and evaluation of programs, ensuring that the necessary policies & procedures of MAI are adhered to. The Education Senior Manager will also be responsible for the people management of the programs, with a focus on making continuous improvements and clear reporting.FunctionsLeads the sourcing, development, and delivery of events, symposiums, initiatives, and material for educational institutions and communities to achieve the department’s mission.Establishes and builds relationships with major institutes, scholars, communities, artists/creatives, and media in order to upscale the level of offerings and programs.Manages the design, organization, and execution of Creative Catalyst and other creative programs.Designs educational programs linked to exhibitions with the curatorial department and educational programs for public talks and workshops.Liaises with partner organizations for joint programming (e.g., Creative Futures).Oversees the assessment and evaluation of all departmental programs.Leads the research & development of programs and plans in order to raise awareness of the value and importance of art education to develop the Saudi youth and a creativity‑based economy and culture in KSA.Monitors the implementation of training & development programs specifically designed for creatives to promote the importance of arts at schools and universities.Oversees the implementation of pilot programs and assesses their impact and relevance.Directs the implementation of public programs for new and existing audiences to meet departmental objectives and in consultation with an advisory panel.Supports MAI in the ideation & development of the public participation programs.Monitors fund allocation and the financial performance of the department against budget and identifies improvement opportunities.Prepares timely and accurate reports to meet organizational and departmental requirements, policies, and standards.Builds and leads a motivated, engaged, and competent workforce by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback to meet the Institute’s goals.Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, policy, and processes, considering ‘international best practice,' legislative requirements, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.Function‑specific competenciesMust be up‑to‑date with developments within the art field locally & globally.Must possess educational project management skills.Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.Technical skillsTeam Management SkillsBudget ManagementLeadershipProblem SolvingExperience & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in art, business administration, museum education, or another related field.A master’s degree in the above is desirable.5‑6 years of experience in the art, cultural & creative industries.At least 3 years of which are in a position of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities.Experience with managing education or training programs, either in a cultural, academic, or corporate environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
