OverviewNEW UAE NATIONAL JOB REGIONAL JUNIOR ANALYST (UAE NATIONAL ROLE) Dubai: Our client who is an international player in sea land air and logistics solutions serving more than 420 ports around the world across 5 continents with a fleet of around 600 vessels is looking to hire a conscientious Emirati Junior Analyst. REPORTING TO: Business Development ManagerResponsibilitiesAct as analytical backbone of the department to optimise performance of Intermodal and Business Development through collection of vital business intelligence data, analytical studies, reports, building KPIs, dashboards, graphs, market studies, etc.Inform the Intermodal and Business Development department about the current state of the business via crisp reports and follow ups.Provide quick, easy-to-digest access to insights about regional Intermodal & Business Development performances and generate valuable recommendations and corrective measures.Transform collected data into actionable insights that trigger specific actions and influence strategic business decisions.Collaborate with Cost Control, Commercial Procurement, Logistics and Operations teams to develop effective initiatives and strategies that optimise costs and commercial development.Build holistic market study reports based on independent research on regional markets.Capture market intelligence and competition information to assist management on investment decisions for crucial business development projects.Construct and deliver detailed studies via reports on specific business cases with regards to management's situational requirements.Main FunctionsIntermodal Performance follow-ups.Build and monitor important KPIs of Intermodal on a weekly/monthly basis.Monthly Intermodal KPIs follow-ups such as negative margin, transport order creation delays, etc.Periodic update of Block Train Performance, Agent haulage & Inland Market share information to regional and Head Office management teams.Monitoring Carrier Haulage ratio & Carrier Haulage conversions.In coordination with DRO Procurement & Regional Intermodal Officer, attribute allocation percentage to vendors within several corridors and boost CEVA integration on TBL movements.Intermodal BenchmarkingBuild a benchmarking system tracking competition rates collected by the network.Segregate buying and selling rates.Further analysis on transit clearance fees.Regional Intermodal Data ManagementRegion in charge of Intermodal systems ensuring all local teams have access to precise Intermodal statistics (bridge between Local teams and HO).Verify the accuracy of corporate data via systematic investigation with Local teams.Intermodal Financial KPIs & Agility MonitoringBe in close contact with DRO Cost Control team.Monitor Intermodal Revenue Margins and Costs.Proposition and Monitoring of Agility InitiativesResearch and studies on business development topics.Prepare timely market studies on the DRO scope countries and intra-regional markets regarding market share, competition, commodities and trading partners.Perform research studies on specific markets and projects per business requirements and management interests.Skills and QualificationsMust have a Higher Education/Postgraduate degree.Strong knowledge in data analytics, business intelligence, finance.Strong analytical skills and numeric proficiency.Expert level Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Proven experience with data visualization tools and BI software (Qliksense).Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; ability to distil complex data into easy-to-understand analyses with actionable recommendations.Extremely detail-oriented, organized, highly quantitative and creative; passionate about using data to guide strategy.Dedicated self-starter, fast learner, ambitious and strong collaborator.On-time delivery of reporting materials (time management).ExperienceRequired Experience: IC#J-18808-Ljbffr
