Enterprise Architect - Data, AI & Platforms

OverviewBlackford Technologies are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the design and oversight of data, AI, and platform solutions. This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and hands‑on capability to drive complex technology programs from inception to delivery. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge with strong pre‑sales experience and exceptional client management skills.ResponsibilitiesLead the design and architecture of enterprise‑scale data platforms, AI solutions, and technology infrastructureProvide technical oversight and governance across multiple programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles and best practicesSupport pre‑sales activities including solution design, technical proposals, proof of concepts, and client presentationsManage technology programs from a technical perspective, from initial requirements gathering through to implementation and deliveryEngage hands‑on with technical implementation when required, including architecture reviews, code reviews, and troubleshooting complex technical challengesBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted technical advisor and ensuring their needs are understood and metCollaborate with cross‑functional teams including business stakeholders, delivery teams, and external partnersDefine and evolve technology standards, frameworks, and methodologies for data, AI, and platform initiativesQualificationsProven experience as an Enterprise Architect with focus on data platforms, AI/ML solutions, and cloud infrastructureStrong pre‑sales experience including solution design, proposal development, and client‑facing presentationsDemonstrated ability to manage complex technology programs from start to finish, with accountability for technical deliveryHands‑on technical capability with the ability to dive deep into technical details when needed, including architecture design, code review, and implementation guidanceExcellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiencesStrong client management skills with experience building trusted advisor relationships and managing stakeholder expectationsExceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, negotiate, and collaborate effectively across diverse teams and culturesExperience working in the Middle East region, particularly the UAE, with understanding of local business culture and practicesTechnical ExpertiseDeep knowledge of data architecture patterns, including data lakes, data warehouses, real‑time streaming, and modern data platformsStrong understanding of AI/ML architecture, including model development, deployment, MLOps, and responsible AI practicesExpertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid/multi‑cloud architecturesKnowledge of enterprise integration patterns, API design, microservices architecture, and event‑driven systemsUnderstanding of data governance, security, and compliance requirementsFamiliarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as codeBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field10+ years of experience in technology roles with at least 5 years in enterprise architectureRelevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, cloud certifications, data/AI certifications) are highly desirable#J-18808-Ljbffr
