Job DescriptionWe are looking to appoint an outstanding Head of EYFS to join the team for August 2026. The post holder will be responsible for supporting the schools Vision and Mission as well as all policies, academic standards and pastoral support in the Primary school.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator looking to further their career within a globally respected organisation and a world‑class international school. With many of our senior leaders progressing from within, joining GEMS means becoming part of a community that invests in your long‑term success.Key ResponsibilitiesEmbracing and encouraging the ethos and standards of excellence as defined in the GEMS Core Values.Ensuring high academic standards in the Early Years school with the school's desire for all students to be the best they can, as well as a commitment to the UAE National Agenda targets.Formulating the aims and objectives of the school.Establishing policies for achieving these aims and objectives.Managing staff and resources to that end.Monitoring progress towards the achievement of the school’s aims and objectives.Managing budgets and undertaking teaching and other professional duties as reasonably delegated by the Principal.Assist in shaping & implementing the educational strategy for the school.Required SkillsA fully certified teacher, holding a B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent.Passionate about providing outstanding teaching and learning.Highly experienced in the National Curriculum for England.Efficient in people development and have proven leadership and communication abilities.GEMS Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all of its students and staff.
