HVAC Technician – Carrier Screw Chiller Specialist

OverviewWe are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician with strong hands-on expertise in Carrier screw chillers, specifically Carrier model 30XA1312-A000-2PE, to support the maintenance and repair of chillers at a large commercial building. The role will focus on diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing the performance of chilled water systems to ensure reliable building cooling operations.Key ResponsibilitiesChiller Maintenance & RepairPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on Carrier screw chillers, with focus on model 30XA1312-A000-2PEDiagnose system faults, alarms, and performance issues in chilled water systemsCarry out mechanical, electrical, and control troubleshooting on screw chillersReplace faulty components, sensors, valves, compressors, and controls as requiredEnsure chillers operate within design efficiency and manufacturer specificationsSystem Performance & ReliabilityMonitor operating parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow, and loadIdentify root causes of recurring failures or inefficienciesRecommend technical solutions to stabilize and improve chiller performanceCoordinate with facilities and building management for shutdowns and testingDocumentation & ReportingMaintain service logs, fault reports, and maintenance recordsPrepare technical reports on equipment condition and required repairsSupport warranty claims and vendor coordination when requiredSkillsStrong hands-on experience with Carrier screw chillersProven experience working on Carrier model 30XA series (or similar)Solid knowledge of:Screw compressorsChilled water systemsHVAC electrical and control circuitsRefrigeration cycles and troubleshootingPreferred QualificationsDiploma or Technical Certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Mechanical EngineeringExperience working in commercial buildings, malls, hospitals, or high-rise facilitiesAbility to read wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and technical manuals#J-18808-Ljbffr
