Hydraulic Design Engineer

In this vital role, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing hydraulic systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for various projects related to water resources, sewage systems, and irrigation networks. If you are passionate about hydraulic engineering and are eager to make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish water/sewerage/irrigation/stormwater network, preferred pipeline materials and procedures for the planning and detailed designDesign & review topographical, geotechnical, and related surveysPrepare detailed designs including specifications, drawings and BOQs of water/sewerage network system, water pumping stations, lift stations and water storage facilitiesAssess the quality and quantity of each implementation phase of the supply schemeAssess the most suitable, economic and easy way to operate and maintain pumping and network systemsPrepare reports and documentationPrepare priced and un-priced Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for projectsPrepare project specificationsGuide draftsman/modeler to produce required tender drawingsCollaborate with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) engineers to study and perform population census calculations and analyze resultsCapable of developing design water/wastewater network using proper software systemCreate and review engineering drawings and specificationsPerform calculations and simulations to ensure the accuracy and reliability of designsDesign and evaluate water hammerManage engineering work and interface with other disciplines as neededProvide Quality Control/Quality Assurance for work projectsDisplay strong communication and interpersonal skills; visit clients, job sites and consultant offices as needed to support project and business development needsReview and critique proposals, plans, or designs related to water or wastewater treatment systemsReview As Built drawings and extract information to be used in the designRequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering7-12 years of experience in hydraulic design and modelingFamiliar with all engineering standards and codes ACI /ASTM/ AWWA/NWC SpecificationsProficiency in hydraulic design software such as HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, EPA SWMM, or equivalent toolsStrong understanding of hydraulics, fluid mechanics, and water resources engineering principlesKnowledge of local and international standards related to water and wastewater systemsEffective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with team members and clientsStrong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a dynamic environmentFamiliarity with AutoCAD and GIS software is a plusFluency in English; Arabic language skills are advantageousSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionOtherIndustriesIT Services and IT ConsultingLocation: Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia#J-18808-Ljbffr
