Irrigation Technician

The Irrigation Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of the golf course irrigation system to ensure optimal turf and landscape health. This role requires technical expertise in irrigation equipment, pumps, and controls, along with the ability to work closely with the golf course superintendent and grounds team to maintain playing conditions at the highest standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate, maintain, and repair the golf course irrigation system, including pumps, controllers, sprinklers, and valves.Monitor irrigation schedules and make adjustments to meet turf and landscape water requirements.Inspect the golf course daily to identify irrigation issues such as leaks, malfunctions, or dry spots.Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the life of irrigation equipment.Ensure irrigation coverage is consistent, efficient, and aligned with turfgrass management needs.Assist with installation of new irrigation lines, sprinklers, and system upgrades.Maintain records of repairs, adjustments, and water usage.Calibrate and program irrigation controllers to maximize efficiency and water conservation.Collaborate with the superintendent and turf team to align irrigation practices with course maintenance schedules.Ensure compliance with environmental, water management, and safety regulations.SkillsProven experience as an Irrigation Technician, ideally in a golf course or large landscape setting.Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, pumps, hydraulics, and electrical controls.Ability to troubleshoot and repair irrigation-related equipment and components.Basic knowledge of turfgrass water requirements and golf course maintenance practices.Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.Good problem-solving and time-management skills.Valid driver’s license (required).Certification or training in irrigation technology or turf management (preferred).Technical expertise in irrigation systemsAttention to detail & problem-solvingPreventive maintenance mindsetTU Holdings Group is a leading conglomerate committed to excellence, innovation, and sustainability that spans diverse sectors.
