Lecturer– Business Analytics and Data VisualizationJob DescriptionThe University of Kalba seeks a qualified and motivated faculty member in Business Analytics and Data Visualization to join its College of Business Administration. The successful candidate will contribute actively to teaching, research, and service aligned with the University’s mission to foster innovation, applied learning, and engagement with industry and community partners.ResponsibilitiesTeach undergraduate courses in Business Analytics, Data Visualization, Data Management, and related areas.Develop, update, and maintain course syllabi consistent with accreditation standards and program outcomes.Supervise student projects and support experiential learning using analytics software and visualization tools.Contribute to the review, development, and enhancement of the management curriculum, ensuring alignment with contemporary academic and industry trends.Conduct, publish, and disseminate high-quality scholarly research in the candidate’s area of specialization.Apply and demonstrate sound knowledge of research methodologies in both teaching and scholarly work.Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research projects and seek external research funding where appropriate.Participate in academic advising, student mentoring, and supervision of research projects.Represent the University of Kalba in national and international conferences, academic forums, and professional associations.Foster engagement with industry and community partners to support student internships and professional development opportunities.Contribute to college and university service, including committee work and governance activities.Engage in outreach initiatives that support the university’s mission and enhance its societal impact.QualificationsMaster’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field from an accredited institution (A Ph.D. is strongly preferred and required for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor.).A strong and ongoing research and publication record in reputable, peer-reviewed academic journals.Demonstrated expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies (for Ph.D. holders).Minimum of two years of university-level teaching or industry experience in business analytics, data visualization, or data-driven decision-making.Demonstrated proficiency in analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SPSS, Python, or R.Evidence of scholarly activity or practical projects in analytics and visualization is desirable.Skills and CompetenciesEffective teaching and communication skills in English.Proven ability to implement innovative, student-centered, and technology-enhanced teaching practices.Ability to integrate real-world applications and data-driven insights into teaching.Willingness to contribute to program development, accreditation, and institutional service.Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.Job InfoJob Identification 100180Job Category Academic JobsPosting Date 03/24/2026, 05:05 AMJob Schedule Full timeLocations University of Kalba - Kalba - Sharjah#J-18808-Ljbffr
