Logistics Manager

Manage and oversee the transhipment operations for shipments between different regions, with a primary focus on Europe.Ensure the smooth and efficient flow of goods through transhipment hubs, managing both inbound and outbound logistics.Develop and implement strategies to optimize the transhipment process, reducing delays and improving cost-efficiency.Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and port authorities to ensure timely delivery and compliance with regulations.Supervise and manage a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance and training to ensure high levels of performance.Negotiate contracts with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other service providers to secure competitive pricing and quality services.Track and monitor shipments, resolving any delays, issues, or discrepancies in the transhipment process.Analyze and report on logistics performance, recommending improvements in processes, systems, and technology.Ensure compliance with local and international customs regulations, import/export laws, and any other relevant trade regulations.Develop contingency plans for potential delays or disruptions in the transhipment chain.Ensure that the warehouse management, transportation, and distribution functions align with transhipment schedules and operational goals.Qualifications & RequirementsMinimum 8 years of experience in transhipment logistics with a strong focus on the European region.In-depth knowledge of European shipping routes, customs regulations, and supply chain practices.Experience with freight forwarding, shipping line operations, and managing logistics teams.Proven ability to develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize cost, time, and efficiency.Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work with international partners and stakeholders.Ability to manage a team, foster collaboration, and lead with a solution-oriented approach.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.Proficiency in logistics management software, Microsoft Office, and other related tools.Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
