Job Description

The Manager - Waste Management leads the governance and operational oversight of waste segregation, collection, transport coordination, and disposal compliance within Qiddiya Workers Villages. The role ensures environmentally responsible and compliant waste services, contractor performance management, and continuous improvement aligned with Qiddiya standards and Saudi regulations.Key Purpose of the RoleTo deliver safe, compliant, and efficient waste management services that protect the environment, maintain village hygiene, and support sustainability objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and manage waste governance including segregation standards, collection schedules, and disposal complianceOversee waste contractors' performance, ensuring adherence to SOPs, KPIs, and regulatory requirementsCoordinate with HSE on hazardous waste controls, safety requirements, and compliance inspectionsMaintain records for waste volumes, disposal manifests, and audit-ready compliance documentationDrive hygiene and environmental readiness across common areas through structured waste controlsIdentify opportunities for waste reduction, recycling, and sustainability initiativesManage service disruptions, escalations, and corrective actions for non-complianceKey Deliverables & AccountabilitiesWaste management SOPs and compliance controls implemented across all villagesContractor performance reports, inspections, and corrective action closuresAccurate waste tracking reports (volumes, segregation, disposal compliance)Audit-ready manifests and regulatory documentationImprovement initiatives supporting recycling and waste reductionKPIs / Performance MetricsWaste collection schedule compliance rateSegregation compliance and contamination reduction trendRegulatory compliance audit score and non-conformance closure rateIncident rate related to waste handling and response timeRecycling/diversion rate improvement (where applicable)RequirementsRequired Qualifications & CertificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant field (Facilities Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related).Professional certifications relevant to the role are preferred (e.g., PMP/PRINCE2, NEBOSH/IOSH, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, IFMA, CIPS, etc.).Experience RequirementsMinimum 6 years of experience in waste management, environmental services, or facilities operations.At least 3 years in a managerial role overseeing contractor-led services and compliance programs.Experience with hazardous waste controls and regulatory requirements is preferred.#J-18808-Ljbffr
