Join us.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inspector - Mechanical to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of mechanical systems and equipment. Working under direct supervision, you will perform routine inspections, verify adherence to design specifications, and maintain comprehensive documentation of all findings. Your meticulous attention to detail and technical expertise will help us maintain the highest standards of mechanical integrity across our operations.Conduct routine mechanical inspections and field walk-downs to verify compliance with design specifications and engineering standardsPerform estimating take-offs and quantity tracking for mechanical components and systemsDocument and report installed quantities, inspection findings, and any deviations from design requirements with transparency and accuracyAnalyze technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand project requirements and inspection criteriaUtilize measurement and testing equipment to assess mechanical systems, equipment performance, and structural integrityIdentify and report deficiencies, non-conformances, or safety concerns in a timely and professional mannerCollaborate with engineering teams, contractors, and project managers to resolve identified issues and ensure corrective actionsMaintain organized and detailed inspection records, reports, and documentation for quality assurance purposesPerform inspections to verify adherence to applicable mechanical codes, standards, and regulatory requirementsSupport continuous improvement initiatives by providing analytical feedback on inspection processes and findingsCommunicate inspection results clearly to stakeholders through written reports and verbal briefingsQualificationsDiploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical inspection or related field preferred8 years of experienceProven experience performing mechanical inspections, quality assurance, or field inspection dutiesSolid knowledge of basic engineering principles and mechanical systemsProficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specificationsExperience with measurement tools, testing equipment, and inspection instrumentsStrong organizational and documentation skills with the ability to maintain accurate recordsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work under direct supervision and follow established procedures and protocolsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality standardsEffective communication skills, both written and verbalKnowledge of quality control and quality assurance processesProficiency with inspection software or digital documentation systemsExperience performing quantity tracking and take-off estimationsCertification in mechanical inspection or related technical disciplineExperience working in the UAE or Middle Eastern marketsDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teamsAdditional InformationAbout AECOMAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
