Job DescriptionPosition Title: Mechanical TechnicianDivision: MaintenanceCategory: Skilled WorkerLocation: Eastern Province, Saudi ArabiaSalary: SAR 2,500 - 3,500 + FATJob SummaryThe Mechanical Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of heavy mechanical equipment used in casting and forging operations. The role requires strong hands‑on experience with furnaces, presses, hammers, and material‑handling systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.Key ResponsibilitiesMechanical Maintenance & RepairPerform preventive and breakdown maintenance on induction and arc furnacesMaintain and repair ladles, molding machines, and shakeout machinesCarry out maintenance of heat treatment furnaces and associated mechanical systemsService and troubleshoot forging presses, power hammers, and drop hammersForging & Heating EquipmentMaintain billet heating furnaces and induction heatersRepair and align trimming presses and manipulatorsMaintain quenching systems including pumps, tanks, and pipingOverhaul & AlignmentPerform mechanical overhauls of equipment during shutdownsCarry out alignment, fitting, and replacement of mechanical componentsDiagnose mechanical faults such as vibration, leakage, wear, and misalignmentSafety & ComplianceFollow all mechanical safety procedures, permit systems, and HSE guidelinesUse appropriate PPE and ensure safe working practicesMaintain housekeeping and safe conditions in the maintenance areaCoordination & ReportingCoordinate with electrical, instrumentation, and production teamsReport equipment condition, failures, and maintenance activities to supervisorsMaintain maintenance records and logsRequirementsExperience RequirementMinimum 5+ years of hands‑on experience in mechanical maintenance within casting and forging plantsProven experience working on heavy industrial equipment and furnacesSkills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial equipmentAbility to read mechanical drawings and maintenance manualsGood troubleshooting and problem‑solving skillsStrong safety awareness and work disciplineAbility to work independently and as part of a maintenance teamWork Environment & ConditionsPlant‑based role in casting and forging facilitiesExposure to heat, noise, dust, and heavy machineryShift‑based work with overtime applicable as per operational requirements#J-18808-Ljbffr
