This role includes leading a team of coding professionals, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and optimizing coding processes to support accurate billing, reimbursement, and operational efficiency. The Director will work closely with client’s clinical, administrative, and revenue cycle teams to ensure consistent and accurate coding practices.</p><p><b>What You'll Do:</b></p><ul><li><b>Leadership&Management:</b><ul><li>Lead, manage, and mentor a multidisciplinary team of coders specializing in both physician and hospital coding.</li><li>Develop and implement coding policies and procedures that ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all service lines.</li><li>Monitor and evaluate the performance of the coding team, providing feedback, training, and professional development opportunities.</li><li>Set department goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and financial goals.</li></ul></li><li><b>Compliance&Quality Assurance:</b><ul><li>Ensure all coding activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards.</li><li>Conduct regular coding audits to ensure accuracy and compliance, addressing any discrepancies with corrective actions.</li><li>Stay updated on coding changes, payer policies, and regulatory updates, ensuring timely implementation across both physician and hospital services.</li></ul></li><li><b>Operational Management:</b><ul><li>Oversee the day-to-day operations of the coding department, ensuring timely and accurate coding of all medical records.</li><li>Collaborate with billing and revenue cycle teams to resolve coding-related denials and optimize reimbursement.</li><li>Monitor coding productivity, accuracy, and turnaround times, ensuring that department benchmarks are consistently met.</li></ul></li><li><b>Revenue Cycle Support:</b><ul><li>Work closely with the revenue cycle management team to maximize revenue capture through accurate coding practices.</li><li>Analyze coding data and metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance revenue cycle performance.</li><li>Participate in strategic planning initiatives, providing insights into the impact of coding on overall financial performance.</li></ul></li><li>Collaborate with clinical staff, physicians, and other departments to address coding-related issues and provide necessary education and training.</li><li>Serve as a coding expert during internal and external audits, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of coding practices.</li><li>Communicate coding performance, risks, and departmental needs to senior management and other key stakeholders.</li></ul><b>What We're Looking For:</b><ul><li><b>Education:</b><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or a related field is required.</li><li>Master’s degree in Health Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.</li><li>Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist - Physician (CCS-P), Certified Professional Coder (CPC).</li></ul></li><li><b>Experience:</b><ul><li>A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in medical coding, with at least 5 years in a management or supervisory role overseeing both physician and hospital coding.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, with experience in both inpatient and outpatient coding.</li><li>Proven experience managing a large coding team in a healthcare setting, such as a hospital, outpatient clinic, or large physician practice.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage coding operations that span multiple specialties and service lines.</li></ul></li><li><b>Skills:</b><ul><li>Proficiency in coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.</li><li>Strong understanding of revenue cycle management and its impact on coding accuracy and efficiency.</li><li>Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.</li></ul></li></ul><b>Why You'll Love RSi:</b><ul><li>Competi
