About the job Offshore Telecom TechnicianOffshore Telecom Technician – Oil & Gas SectorJob Title: Telecom TechnicianExperience Required: 5–7 Years (Oil & Gas mandatory)Qualification: Minimum Diploma in Engineering (Telecommunications / Electronics / Electrical)Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Telecom Technician with a strong background in Oil & Gas projects, both onshore and offshore. The ideal candidate must have hands-on expertise in installing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining a wide range of telecom and ELV systems. Offshore experience is mandatory.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of telecom systems, including:Structured Cabling Systems (Cat6/Cat6A/FTTH)Fiber Optic Communication Systems (splicing, OTDR testing, termination)TETRA Radio SystemsVHF/UHF RadiosCCTV Surveillance SystemsAccess Control Systems (ACS)Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities as per Oil & Gas standards.Support commissioning teams during project handover and SAT/FAT procedures.Ensure compliance with HSE standards during all site activities.Prepare technical reports, update work logs, and coordinate with supervisors/engineers.Provide support during shutdowns, offshore rotations, and emergency call-outs.Qualifications & ExperienceDiploma in Engineering (Electronics / Electrical / Telecommunications).Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Oil & Gas telecom maintenance and installation.Mandatory offshore experience with valid offshore certificates (e.g., BOSIET, HUET).Strong knowledge of network cabling standards and fiber optic systems.Hands-on skills in radio communication systems – TETRA, VHF, UHF.Experience in CCTV and Access Control installation and configuration.Preferred CertificationsFiber Optic splicing/testing certification.CCTV/ACS vendor certifications.Radio communication system training (TETRA/VHF/UHF).Safety certifications (H2S, PTW, First Aid).Soft SkillsStrong troubleshooting ability.Ability to work independently and in offshore environments.Effective communication and teamwork skills.Strong commitment to safety and compliance.Interested applicants may send their CVs to jesica@mekdamholding.comNote: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted#J-18808-Ljbffr
