About our client We are working with an investment firm based in Qatar that manages a globally diversified portfolio across public and private markets. The organisation is seeking a Portfolio Manager to help build out its private markets capability as part of a long-term strategy and its evolution towards a more institutional, manager-led investment approach. What the job involvesAct as a Portfolio Manager within the private credit programme, supporting the design and implementation of the firm's global private markets strategyLead manager selection and due diligence across private credit funds, co-investments and secondariesEvaluate and underwrite co-investment opportunities alongside external managersContribute to portfolio construction, asset allocation and ongoing rebalancing across private marketsMonitor portfolio performance, risk and exposures, producing materials for internal governance and investment committeesPrepare and present investment recommendations to senior decision-makers within a structured IC frameworkPlay an active role in building investment processes, frameworks and governance as the platform continues to scale Who we are looking forExperience in an institutional investment platform such as a sovereign wealth fund, pension fund, asset manager or investment / family officeAn experienced private markets investor with strong exposure to private credit and an understanding of global manager universesCommercial, analytical and comfortable operating across both fund investments and co-investmentsEntrepreneurial and hands-on, with the ability to help build processes rather than inherit themInternationally minded, adaptable and able to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment
