Power Design Engineer

The Power Design Engineer will be responsible for leading and overseeing the design and review of electrical power systems supporting telecom infrastructure and data center facilities. The role involves verifying power system designs, validating load calculations, and ensuring the proper integration and coordination of electrical systems within BIM models. The engineer will also ensure that all designs comply with applicable standards, project specifications, and operational requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee various power systems design including AC, UPS, Rectifiers, Batteries, Generators, and Structured Cabling.Review and approve electrical design documents such as single line diagrams (SLD), power layouts, and cable routing plans.Perform power load calculations, cable sizing, breaker selection, and power distribution design.Develop electrical BIM models using Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.Coordinate electrical power systems with telecom, mechanical, and architectural BIM models.Design power infrastructure for telecom rooms, equipment rooms, and data centers.Perform voltage drop, short circuit, and power system analysis.Conduct clash detection and model coordination using BIM tools.Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, TIA, and local electrical standards.Prepare technical documentation, BOQs, and design reports.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering.3–8 years of experience in electrical design engineering.Experience in telecom power systems, DC power systems, and backup power infrastructure.Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD) – a certification would be a plus.Strong understanding of electrical standards and power distribution systems LV/MV.#J-18808-Ljbffr
