Procurement Engineer

OverviewWe are looking for a Procurement Engineer to join our team.Brief Job IntroductionThe Procurement Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that all project materials and equipment are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with technical specifications and project timelines. This role requires close coordination with engineering, project management, finance, and logistics teams to support seamless project execution while maintaining budgetary control.Key ResponsibilitiesReview project specifications, drawings, and BOQs provided by engineering teams.Identify suitable vendors for project materials and equipment.Prepare RFQs and send them to approved suppliers.Evaluate vendor quotations based on technical compliance and commercial terms.Coordinate with engineering teams for technical bid evaluations.Compare suppliers using commercial comparison sheets.Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, payment terms, and warranties.Prepare and issue Purchase Orders according to project requirements.Ensure all purchase orders align with technical specifications and project timelines.Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, Finance, and Logistics to track procurement status and support project milestones and installation schedules.Monitor shipment status and supplier commitments.Coordinate with logistics teams for import/export, customs clearance, and delivery.Ensure materials arrive before installation timelines.Update procurement trackers and provide reports to management.Ensure procurement within project budgets.Identify cost-saving opportunities through alternative suppliers or value engineering.Key SkillsTechnical understanding of engineering materialsVendor negotiationContract managementCost analysisERP systems (D365)Supply chain coordinationCommunication and project coordination#J-18808-Ljbffr
