Procurement Officer

Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer with a strong background in construction or swimming pool projects. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely procurement of quality materials in line with project requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesManage procurement activities for construction and swimming pool materials (civil, MEP, filtration systems, pumps, tiles, chemicals, accessories, etc.)Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractorsPrepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with approved budgetsCoordinate with project, site, and engineering teams to understand material requirementsEnsure timely delivery of materials to sites as per project schedulesMonitor inventory levels and control material wastageVerify supplier invoices and coordinate with finance for timely paymentsMaintain accurate procurement records and supplier databasesEnsure compliance with company procurement policies and local regulationsHandle material submittals, approvals, and technical compliance where requiredQualifications & KnowledgeBachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related fieldStrong understanding of procurement best practices and regulationsExperienceMinimum of 6 years of experience in procurement or supply chain rolesExperience in handling contracts and supplier negotiationsSkills & CompetenciesExcellent communication and negotiation skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time efficientlyProficiency in MS Office and procurement softwareStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
