We operate in a fast-paced, high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment with a strong focus on quality, customer partnership, and operational excellence.In this role, the Product Manager is responsible for defining product vision, strategy, and roadmap. This position serves as the link between customer needs, business objectives, and cross-functional teams including Engineering, Marketing, and Sales. The Product Manager guides the full product lifecycle from ideation through launch and ongoing optimization, ensuring products meet market demands and achieve business objectives through research, requirements definition, and cross-functional coordination.This is a remote-based role that requires periodic travel and on-site presence at manufacturing facilities.Knowledge / Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to gain a full understanding of product line objectives while working independently toward achieving those goalsAbility to maintain comprehensive knowledge of assigned product(s), including key and strategic customers, costs and pricing, sales opportunities, competition, market conditions, and manufacturing methodsStrong organizational and project management skillsAbility to analyze margins, pricing, and financial performanceStrong collaboration and cross-functional communication skillsCustomer-focused and results-driven mindsetStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilityQualifications / Education / Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent experienceMinimum of two (2) years of direct experience in cable manufacturing, connectors, and harsh environment applicationsExperience working in cross-functional manufacturing environments preferredStrong interpersonal and professional communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesProficient in English (written and verbal)Duties / Responsibilities:Support and enable the success of the product line; responsible for execution of determined product and set strategiesIdentify and execute monthly order goals, assisting Sales in order closureTarget and implement cost reduction programsIdentify and prioritize new product needs and opportunitiesIdentify new standards and certifications to maintain industry competitivenessMaintain technical expertise on assigned product lines and related industriesManage strategic inventory releases to maximize profit and salesReview incoming margins daily and drive actions as neededMeet margin expectations for both orders and revenueEstablish and maintain pricing guidelinesProvide pricing for corporate contacts, maximizing share and profitCreate and track cost estimates on new productsUtilize Marketing Communications to develop content across web, print, and multimedia platformsDevelop regular promotional plans for product linesConsistently review competitor promotional positioningRegularly visit key customersLead pricing decisions that maximize Amphenol share and profitDevelop and implement channel strategy with Distribution and OEM Sales teamsInterface with distributors and Distribution Sales teams to maximize market presenceSupport training efforts for Direct Sales and Distribution teamsInterface at all levels of departmental and executive managementResponsible for direction, strategy, and revenue growth for assigned product linesResponsible for BOM accuracy within ERP/MRP systemsPhysical / Environmental Requirements:The individual in this role must be able to stand, walk, bend, and use hands for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. This position includes exposure to a manufacturing floor environment with noise, moving equipment, and production materials.
