Job Description
Job PurposeProjects Manager is responsible for managing construction and fit‑out projects from planning through execution and completion. The role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards, while meeting client expectations.The position requires close coordination with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal departments to ensure efficient project delivery and continuous improvement in project execution.Key ResponsibilitiesProject DeliveryManage construction and fit‑out projects from initiation to completion.Ensure projects are delivered in line with client requirements, project timelines, and approved budgets.Review project plans, schedules, and deliverables to ensure efficient execution.Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when required.Coordinate turnkey project requirements with internal departments and external stakeholders.Construction ManagementOversee onsite and offsite construction activities to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.Review tender documentation, drawings, and project specifications.Ensure quality construction standards and proper construction techniques are applied.Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control programs.Stakeholder ManagementAct as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors.Provide guidance to client representatives on project management and construction matters.Coordinate with property management teams to minimize operational disruption during project execution.Team & Resource ManagementLead and manage the project execution team to achieve departmental objectives.Allocate resources effectively across multiple projects.Monitor team performance and ensure efficient project delivery.Risk Management & ComplianceDevelop and implement risk management and mitigation strategies for construction and fit‑out projects.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project specifications.Value EngineeringProvide value engineering recommendations to optimize cost, time, and efficiency.Identify opportunities for improvement without compromising project quality.Property AssessmentsConduct condition assessments for properties and develop corrective action plans.Coordinate with property management teams to address technical issues.Project Monitoring & ReportingTrack project milestones, budgets, and schedules.Prepare project reports and provide updates to senior management.Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Delivery of construction projects within agreed timelinesDelivery of projects within approved budgetsCompliance with quality standards and regulatory requirementsImplementation of zero-harm safety practicesReduction in accidents and lost‑time incidentsHigh levels of client satisfactionQualificationsEducationBachelor’s Degree in:Civil EngineeringArchitectureConstruction ManagementProfessional Certifications (Preferred)Project Management Professional (PMP)Membership in professional institutions such as:Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)RIBAMRICSOther RequirementsValid UAE Driving LicenseExperienceMinimum 15 years of experience in construction or project managementProven experience managing construction and fit‑out projects from inception to completionExperience managing turnkey projects and project budgetsExperience managing design approvals and regulatory processesMinimum 3 years of experience in the GCCTechnical KnowledgeArchitectural design and construction principlesBuilding materials and construction techniquesBuilding codes and regulatory complianceConstruction lifecycle managementFit‑out construction standards in the GCCRisk assessment and mitigation frameworksTechnical SkillsProficiency in AutoCADProficiency in Microsoft ProjectStrong knowledge of construction and refurbishment methodologiesExcellent written and verbal English communication skillsKey ChallengesManaging multiple construction projects simultaneouslyCoordinating across multiple stakeholders and departmentsEnsuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirementsManaging project timelines and budgets under pressure#J-18808-Ljbffr
