You will play a key part in delivering high-quality mobile broadband services for millions of users.Detailed Job DescriptionAs a PS Core Engineer, you will work on cutting-edge Ericsson technologies across EPC, SAPC/PCC, and 5G Core SA environments. You will collaborate with planning, operations, and cross‑functional teams to design, configure, and optimize packet core solutions. This position offers exposure to advanced virtualization and cloud-native architectures, including Kubernetes and OpenStack, while driving automation initiatives for operational efficiency. Your expertise will directly impact network reliability and customer experience in one of the most dynamic telecom markets globally.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform daily health checks and monitor alarms on Ericsson PS Core nodes (MME/SGSN, EPG, SAPC/PCC/PCG, SMF/UPF, DNS).Troubleshoot and resolve network faults, capacity issues, and performance degradation.Configure PCC rules and policy controls (PDR/QER/FAR/URR) and interface with PCRF/SAPC.Manage DNS configurations (NAPTR/SRV) supporting IMS and EPC services.Support integration of new PS Core nodes (vEPG/vMME/vUPF) in cloud/Kubernetes environments.Develop and maintain automation scripts (Bash, Python, Expect, AWK) for log parsing and KPI reporting.Required Qualifications & SkillsStrong knowledge of Ericsson PS Core portfolio: SGSN-MME, EPG (GGSN/PGW/SGW), SAPC, PCC/PCG, DRA, SMF/UPF.Solid understanding of 2G/3G/4G/5G call flows (Attach, TAU/RAU, handover, session management).Expertise in protocols: GTP-C/GTP-U, Diameter, RADIUS, HTTP/2, SIP, SCTP, TCP/UDP/IP.Hands‑on experience with Ericsson CLI/tools (gsh, vshell, EPG, PCC).Familiarity with OSS/BSS tools: NetAct, ENM, ENIQ, and packet analysis using Wireshark.Experience with virtualization and cloud platforms: VMware, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker.4–8 years of experience in PS Core/EPC/5G Core networks (Ericsson experience strongly preferred).Nice‑to‑Have SkillsEricsson Certified Professional or equivalent vendor certifications (Nokia/Huawei).Knowledge of cloud‑native 5G Core and dual‑mode 5GC architecture.Experience with SMF/UPF integration and orchestration.Advanced scripting and automation capabilities for network operations.Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in telecom environments.Recruitment Pro TipHighlight your hands‑on experience with Ericsson PS Core nodes and cloud-native 5G Core deployments in your CV.
