Learn more about our extraordinary teams building inspiring projects in our Impact Report.Project Overview:Expo 2030 Riyadh is a global platform where countries, organizations, and individuals will come together to collaborate. Under the theme "Foresight for Tomorrow," the Expo promotes sustainable development, innovation, and transformative thinking. The event will be held from October 2030 to March 2031 and is expected to welcome over 40 million visits. The 6 km² Masterplan outlines a comprehensive framework for participation and infrastructure at the Expo. The exhibition space, totaling 491,100 m² GFA, can accommodate up to 197 participating countries and 29 international organizations. Working collaboratively with our customer, Expo 2030 Riyadh Company (ERC), Bechtel will manage the infrastructure program which comprises early works, utilities, and publicly accessible spaces like streets and parks. Our scope on the six-square-kilometer site will transition into a mixed-use legacy development to serve the community after the six-month event is over. The project’s master plan leverages international sustainability standards for urban afforestation, treated water, and energy sources.Job Summary:In this role, you will lead implementation and monitoring of a project quality program and provide technical direction to peers. You will define and implement system tools and procedures, develop metrics and goals, facilitate causal analysis teams, and provide oversight of design validation and final inspection activities. You will ensure quality in high impact activities that are key to project success.Major Responsibilities:Directs project quality activities, coordinating with engineering, procurement, construction, operations, and other stakeholders.Reviews Scope of Services and develops project procedures; maintains and implements the PQP.Develops and implements the Quality Audit & Surveillance Schedule based on performance/risk; conducts audits and ensures closure of findings.Documents audit results and advises the Project Management Team on additional controls.Monitors KPIs, maintains quality records, and performs Gap Analyses.Interfaces with contractors regarding audits and quality concerns; prequalifies contractors/vendors/designers and evaluates QMS implementation.Reviews submittals including manuals, procedures, Quality Plans, ITPs, personnel, test reports, prequalification records, and audit schedules.Incorporates quality system requirements into contracts, work orders, and scope; verifies Best Practices (BPs) and Lessons Learned (LLs) implementation.Leads/facilitates Project RCA to identify, implement, and verify corrective measures.Trends NCRs, RFIs, and Punchlists; coordinates client audits and maintains liaison for quality activities.Monitors quality observations, issues NCRs, and follows up until closure.Reviews project schedules for quality-related activities and facilitates project metrics selection.Provides recommendations to correct quality deficiencies and assigns/directs quality personnel.Implements project Quality Core Processes: PBQ, Lessons Learned, continuous improvement, and recognition programs.Collects, evaluates, and documents new BPs and LLs, as applicable.Education and Experience Requirements:Requires bachelor’s degree in engineering (or international equivalent) and 15 to 20 years of relevant work experience.Required Knowledge and Skills:Experience in overseeing design, development, and implementation with leadership experience in a Project Management Consultant (PMC), Infrastructure, or related industry encompassing engineering, procurement, and construction activities.Membership of an appropriate professional body is advantageous.ISO 9001:2015 Certified Lead Auditor (IRCA approved) – required.Applicable certification in Quality (e.g., Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, Lean, Certified Quality Manager – advantage).Demonstrated experience with design controls, design verification and validation
