Job Description

OverviewResponsible to independently or under the supervision of senior radiographers perform all general radiography imagery procedures, analyze output and report to supervisor as needed.Abu Dhabi Healthcare Company (SEHA) is the largest and most comprehensive healthcare network in the UAE that was established in 2007 with the objective of operating all public hospitals and clinics across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. SEHA is committed to delivering world-class healthcare services using the most advanced diagnostics and systems across its network of public healthcare centers and hospitals in addition to partnering with global leaders in healthcare, including world renowned organizations such as the Mayo Clinic.ResponsibilitiesManagerialReporting shortage of materials to (supervisor) senior radiographer at earliest convenience, maintaining records for ordering and replenishmentsTechnicalPerforming all general radiography procedures in accordance with department policies, procedures and protocolsPerforming other radiography (special) procedures as requiredEvaluates images produced for acceptable quality, appropriateness and completeness. Forwards images to Radiologist for review and reportingAdhere to radiation safety principles, ALARA principle, dose limits and to follow the radiation safey policies, procedures and departmental “local rules”Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment. Including restocking of supplies for subsequent use and equipment cleaningProviding advice to medical/technical staff on appropriate techniques and clinical staff on appropriate imagery interventionsDealing with patients and clinical staff initial enquiries and to relay to clinical staff where necessaryWhenever required, directing and monitoring all procedures carried out by junior staff under supervision and step in whenever there is a requirementResponsible for the safe and competent use of all radiology equipment, patient appliances and aids used in the departmentProviding advice and respond to queries across the organizationPerforming other duties as assigned by SupervisorQuality & SafetyPromoting and maintaining quality in all services and ensure continuous quality improvement measures are in place. Conduct method evaluation/development as per standard policies and proceduresComplying with all safety and quality control programs and procedures as applicableComplying with applicable precautions for environmental safety, infection control, using a series of interventions that minimize or prevent cross infection (In conjunction with relevant departments)Maintaining the strictest confidence in relation to patient information whether formally or informally recordedPracticing within the expressed limits of established policies and proceduresEnsuring that SOP (standard operation procedures) and Quality Assurance tests are maintained within all sectionsBeing responsible for documenting all intervention in appropriate formatComply and support clinical audit processes within the service and report on these as agreedCommunicating in a professional and courteous manner with patients, family and other medical personnel as necessary to obtain information for laboratory records, explain procedures, clarify orders and communicate statusEducation / QualificationsQualification:Special Certificate:Required: a. NLT 2 years’ experience as radiographer in a multimodality site/facility including OR, trauma , etc.in an acute care hospital.b.
