# Research Assistant– MBRSC LabFebruary 2, 2026### Job Description**The University of Dubai is seeking a highly motivated Researcher to join the MBRSC Lab**, a research and development (R&D) hub sponsored by the **Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre** and funded by the **ICT Fund**. The selected candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research in **Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing, Image Processing, and Artificial Intelligence (AI)**, with a focus on **developing innovative AI algorithms for geospatial applications****.****Key Responsibilities*** **Support AI research projects** by collecting and analyzing remote sensing data, conducting literature reviews, and building/testing AI/ML models.* **Develop AI/ML models** to analyze satellite imagery for image classification, object detection, and segmentation.* **Process and analyze Earth observation datasets**, including optical imagery, SAR, and drone-acquired data.* **Contribute to technical reports, scientific publications**, and present research findings at flagship conferences.**Qualifications & Requirements*** Master degree in **GIS, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.*** Proven research experience with a strong publication record.* Proven programming skills in **Python** and machine learning libraries (**TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn**).* Proficiency with GIS and remote sensing software (**ArcGIS, ENVI, QGIS, etc.**).* Strong adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies rapidly.**Application Instructions**Interested candidates should submit the following:1.
