We are currently seeking an outstanding Teacher - Science (Chemistry or Physics) for the Middle and Senior School at Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi commencing in the 2026-2027 academic year.Mamoura British Academy is a British curriculum, mixed gender school. It is located in a state of the art building in the heart of Abu Dhabi. Teaching and LearningClear understanding of the British curriculumOrganising classroom provision, learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive and engaging learning environmentPlanning, preparing and presenting sessions that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the classes taught in line with the Learning and Teaching PolicyMotivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative teachingObserving and assessing children in line with the Assessment PolicyBeing reflective of the classroom provision, sessions taught, progress made, and adjusting environment, planning and curriculum to reflect thisEnsure the Mamoura British Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attributes are being embedded throughout the curriculum.B. Assessment and DataTaking responsibility for the progress of classes taughtMeeting requirements for the assessment and recording of students’ development using the schools designated assessment systemUsing data provided by assessments to influence further planning, provision and interventionBe accountable to the Head of Department for the performance data of classes taught and to develop strategies to improveProviding feedback to parents and carers on a students’ progress at Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.C. Behaviour Management and DutiesFollow Behaviour PolicyManage classes effectively, using approaches which are appropriate to students’ needs to inspire, motivate and challenge pupilsMaintain excellent relationships with pupils, exercise appropriate authority, and act decisively when necessary within the school’s Behaviour PolicyBe a positive role model and demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviour, which are expected of pupilsHave high expectations of behaviour, promoting self-control and independence of all learnersEnsure the Mamoura Values DNA language and attitudes are being embedded throughout the curriculumCarry out duties as directed and within the school’s policy.D. Wider Professional ResponsibilitiesTo work as part of a department team, supporting planning, assessment, resources and special events linked to that teamSupport the organising and taking part in school events, outings and activities which may take place at weekends or in the eveningCommunicate effectively with parents/carers with regards to students’ achievements and well‑being using school systems/processes such as CPOMS as appropriateMake a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the schoolRun a weekly ECA each term.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor Degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent.Minimum Experience:Minimum 2 year’s teaching experience in English National CurriculumJob Specific Knowledge & Skills:Outstanding teacherTeaching across the age ability range with proven successExperience of working in more than one International School desirableExperience of teaching the UK National CurriculumStrong inter-personal skillsA commitment to School Vision and Mission StatementPassion for education, teaching, and a belief in the potential of every studentThe ability to work under pressure, problem-solve and be resilientCommitment to continuing professional development (CPD)#J-18808-Ljbffr
