The security officer's responsibilities include patrolling the premises, setting up security controls, monitoring property access, investigating suspicious behavior, and enforcing company policies.To be successful as a security officer you should be highly observant and able to objectively assess the severity of a situation. An outstanding security officer should be able to remain calm and decisive in any situation.Standard RequirementsHighly professional in appearance, character and conductPositive attitude and team spiritEffective interpersonal skills, resourcefulness and creativityDisplay passion for our guests and enthusiasm for the jobAbility to work under pressure and to adjust to flexible working hoursAbility to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace fluency in English is required; any other additional language skills are appreciatedMaintains a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by establishing and enforcing security policies and procedures; supervising the security guard force.Specific RequirementsHigh school or equivalent education is required; Bachelors Degree in related area is preferred but not mandatoryMinimum two years related experience the hospitality sector and similar position is preferredPrevious 5*Star Hotel experience is preferredDetail oriented and customer oriented approachPhysically fit for performing tasks outdoors and standing for long hours.Recognised First Aid and/ Fire Fighting certificatesWell trained and skilled on the usage of all related equipment like CCTV, X-ray Machine, Walk thru gate etc.Must be well acquainted with the emergency procedures i.e. fire, bomb threat, medical and power/elevator failureMust be stand by for round the clock operationExperience in office procedures, record keeping, investigation and reportsKnowledge and implementation of laws relating to local policies and proceduresResponds appropriately to guests needs during hours of operationKnowledge of hygiene, sanitation, health & safety aspects#J-18808-Ljbffr
