Senior Antenna Systems Design Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi (Relocation Provided)Employment Type: Full-TimePosition Overview:We are seeking an experienced Senior Antenna Systems Design Engineer to lead the architecture, design, simulation, and validation of advanced antenna systems for long-range wireless communication and compact radar platforms. This role sits at the core of RF system performance, ensuring antenna solutions are optimised not only in isolation but also when fully integrated onto complex platforms.Define and design antenna architectures for long-range wireless communication systemsDefine and design antenna architectures for small radar systemsDesign and implement new communication and electronics subsystems as related to antennas and antenna systemsDefine and design antenna measurement systems and setupsSimulate and validate antenna performance when installed on platformsParticipate in field-tests for systems and suggest optimal antenna placement and ways to optimize performanceWrite technical reports and keep up to date with developments in relevant technologyInvestigate and conduct root cause analysis to identify defects and system problems, and propose viable solutionsRecommend design modifications and equipment updatesKnowledge of electro-optical communication system front-endsKnowledge of front-end RF protection systemsSupport, lead and mentor junior engineers and share knowledgeQualifications / Experience:Bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science, communication, electronic, software engineering.Minimum 8 years of experience in antenna system designExperience with high frequency simulation toolsExperience with antennas for avionicsExperience with antenna array systemsExperience with beam-forming / direction findingExperience with antenna measurement and characterizationExperience in RF propagation modellingStrong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and other stakeholdersProven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously#J-18808-Ljbffr
