Senior Applications Operations Engineer - Database

ResponsibilitiesInstall, administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle Database (including Exadata) and MongoDB environments.Monitor database performance and perform optimization and tuning to ensure high efficiency.Manage users, roles, privileges, and implement database security policies, including Encryption (TDE / CSFLE), Auditing, and LDAP/SSO integration.Perform backup and recovery operations, design and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) plans, and conduct regular restoration testing.Execute database upgrades and patching activities.Monitor alerts and logs, respond to incidents and critical failures, and provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA).Troubleshoot database issues and manage escalations effectively.Collaborate with development teams and data engineers to support ETL and data integration processes and enhance application performance.Ensure database high availability, scalability, and service continuity.Develop scripts and procedures to automate recurring maintenance tasks.Monitor and plan storage usage, including partitioning and data archiving.Apply DevOps practices, supporting automation and CI/CD pipelines where applicable.Prepare and maintain operational and troubleshooting guides for recurring issues.SkillsStrong ownership and accountability in resolving issues end to end.Ability to work effectively under pressure and in high-stress situations.Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong time management and task prioritization skills.Problem-solving mindset with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.Adaptability and willingness to take initiative when handling challenges#J-18808-Ljbffr
