Job Description
Job PurposePlans and coordinates the activities and / or input of a team of multi-disciplinary petroleum development professionals involved in developing, monitoring and ensuring timely execution of drilling operations in assigned field.Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)Generates completion conceptual and define completion requirements in line with the production/injection strategy for the wells.Support studies team in Pilot Hole data acquisition planning, execution and evaluation. Identify opportunities for production optimization in the production system.Evaluate and perform Artificial Lift Design for Oil Producers. Finalize Well Testing Strategy, Monitor and Evaluate the testing results.Monitor well’s performance on daily basis, diagnose associated issues and evaluate optimization opportunities.Perform Nodal Analysis for Production System Optimization. Aids Reservoir Teams in designing and performing pressure transient analysis.Monitor Drilling Activities; communicate concerns to drilling and provide technical support for smooth running of operations.Create and maintain database for wells covering all operational job details, data acquired, well tests, pressure history and optimization work performed. Ensure the agreed plan for the wells is being followed and highlight any deviations required.Recommend and plans special tests or test runs of projects prior to recommending field wide or reservoir implementation.Undertake studies to evaluate available alternatives and defines design parameters for upgrading / debottlenecking existing facilities/ enhance capacity and meet set targets.Coordinate the investigation of problems related to production technology and recommend appropriate solutions. Includes the use of new equipment, logging/ testing/ production techniques, studies.Review application of new technology in areas related to production, injection and artificial lifts. Includes directing and participating in feasibility studies to recommend adoption of new techniques and equipment.Prepare the available production and injection potential on monthly basis based on flow test results, Rig Activity Bar Chart and Hook-up & Commissioning schedule.Establish order of priority of opening depleted wells to obtain required field offtake, taking into consideration the reservoir constraints and injection/production balance ratio.Follow up on the gas and water injection and ensures adherence to the required specifications and quantities.Generic AccountabilitiesSupervisionPlan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.BudgetsProvide input for preparation of the functional budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost controlPolicies, Systems, Processes & ProceduresImplement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section’s / Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.Performance ManagementContribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the function in line with the Company Performance framework.Innovation and Continuous ImprovementDesign and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best Industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and SustainabilityComply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.ReportsProvide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Management.Internal Communications & Working RelationshipsContact with line Manager/ peers and other employees within the company/Group as requiredExternal Communications & Working RelationshipsContact with external parties including consultants, third party service providers, and government agencies as requiredMinimum QualificationBachelor Degree in Petroleum Engineering or Equivalent.Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills8 years of experience in all aspects of Petroleum Engineering Operations.Revenues/ Budget: As per approved financial budgetDirect Reports: As per organization chartIndirect Reports: As per organization chartProfessional CertificationsAs applicableWork Condition, Physical effort & Work EnvironmentPhysical EffortMinimalWork EnvironmentA/C environment, could be exposed to the prevailing weather conditions like heat, humidity & dust during occasional site visit
