Job Description
As part of our commitment to Emiratization, only UAE Nationals holding the Family Book will be considered for this role.Job PurposeLead the full spectrum of Credit Administration processes and oversee the Credit Risk Framework for the bank. This critical role ensures all credit exposures are tightly controlled within the organization’s risk appetite, fully compliant with CB UAE regulations, internal policies, legal requirements, Basel standards, and IFRS guidelines. The Senior Manager will proactively monitor the credit portfolio, address emerging risks and documentation gaps, and advise on robust risk mitigation—ensuring the safety and soundness of the bank’s credit activities.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage the end-to-end Credit Administration process—including preparation, review, authorization, registration, and custody of finance, facility, and security documents in line with approval terms and regulations.Ensure accuracy, enforceability, and compliance of all credit and security agreements; manage collateral controls, registration (EMCR), valuation, and insurance.Monitor the entire credit portfolio for expired limits, documentation gaps, covenant and deferral compliance, and early warning signals or credit deterioration.Implement and maintain the Credit Risk Management Framework, aligning with CB UAE, Basel, IFRS standards, and the bank’s risk appetite.Track past-dues, overdue reports, and portfolio exceptions, recommending downgrades or escalation as per policy and regulatory requirements.Advise on and oversee appropriate risk mitigants, including covenants, collateral coverage, and risk controls to minimize exposures.Ensure accurate provisioning (ECL) across asset classes and contribute to stress testing the portfolio.Support business and risk teams by clarifying documentation, portfolio issues, and audit requirements.Manage credit controls, limit loading and maintenance, and exception reporting in compliance with policies.Drive process improvements, digital automation, and workflow enhancements for greater efficiency and customer experience.Participate in initiatives on credit, collateral, data analytics, new products, and system/workflow upgrades.Collaborate with underwriting, risk, legal, compliance, and technology teams for seamless credit operations and governance.Key Skills, Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).6–8 years of progressive experience in Credit Administration.Deep expertise in end-to-end Credit Administration and understanding of Credit Risk Management frameworks.Strong knowledge of UAE regulatory requirements and Basel/IFRS standards.Mastery in collateral and security management, including EMCR, valuation, and insurance.Proficiency with core banking and risk systems.Excellent communication, business acumen, digital thinking, flexibility, and result orientation.Proven leadership, stakeholder influence, decision-making, and collaborative skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
