Coordinate with drainage, utilities, structures, and traffic teams. Prepare submission packages to local authorities. Civil 3D proficiency and experience working in the UAE (preferably Abu Dhabi) are essential.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop road and highway projects, ensuring compliance with local UAE and international standardsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high‑quality infrastructure solutionsUtilise advanced engineering software to create detailed road and highway designsImplement sustainable and innovative road designPrepare technical reports, design calculations, and project documentationContribute to the preparation of project proposals and tender documentsStay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in road and highway engineeringPrepare construction drawings and support engineers with quantity take‑offs and BOQsSupport DMT/ADM/ITC submissionCollaborate with engineers, BIM managers, GIS teams, and stakeholders for seamless data and model exchangeRequirementsTechnical experience & engineering knowledge in road design principles, including:Select/design & operating speeds, sight distances, stopping/decision checksProduce horizontal & vertical alignments, profiles, superelevation (calc + application), typical sections, transitionsExperience with junction/roundabout geometry, lane balance, storage/tapers, median openings, and access managementProficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D for road and civil infrastructure design with demonstrable skills to develop and maintain roadway and civil models in Autodesk Civil 3D (alignments, corridors, profiles, cross‑sections, detailing)Knowledge of stormwater/road drainage principlesKnowledge of local and international standards and how to apply them to design outputs (Example: ADM, AASHTO, HEC-22, DMRB, BS/EN, etc)Experience with producing technical notes and design reportsDesirable SkillsUnderstanding of DMT/ADM/ITC submission portalsExperience with signing/marking and roadside safety layoutsFamiliarity with InfraWorks for conceptual and preliminary designStormwater design experienceKnowledge of AASHTO/ADM TR513 pavement designExperience 6‑8 years post‑graduateWhy Join SJ?Join a global, multidisciplinary consultancy shaping sustainable, people‑centric environments across 40+ countries.
