Senior Specialist - Data Protection Officer

Qiddiya Investment Company is on the lookout for a dedicated and knowledgeable Senior Specialist - Data Protection Officer to lead our efforts in safeguarding personal data and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our data protection policies, as well as ensuring that our operations adhere to local and international data privacy laws.Your expertise will be essential in promoting a culture of data privacy and protection across the organization, collaborating with various departments to mitigate risk and protect personal information.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement data protection strategies and policies that comply with applicable data protection laws and regulationsMonitor compliance with data protection policies and conduct audits to ensure adherence across the organizationProvide advice and guidance to management and staff on data protection obligations and best practicesConduct data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) as necessary for new projects and initiativesAct as a point of contact for data subjects and regulatory bodies regarding data protection inquiries and complaintsConduct training and awareness programs for employees on data protection standards and practicesCollaborate with IT and security teams to support the development and implementation of technical and organizational security measures for data protectionMaintain records of data processing activities and ensure data subject rights are upheldStay abreast of changes in data protection laws and regulations, making recommendations for necessary policy adjustmentsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Law, Information Technology, Data Protection, or a related field5+ years of experience in data protection, privacy compliance, or related rolesIn-depth knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, local data privacy laws) and best practicesExperience conducting data protection impact assessments and auditsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with diverse stakeholdersCertifications such as Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or similar are preferredBenefitsJoin Qiddiya's team and enjoy a dynamic work environment that offers growth opportunities, a collaborative culture, and the chance to make a significant impact as our future Playmaker!#J-18808-Ljbffr
