Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.In the role of Senior Transportation Engineer, we’ll count on you to:Provide transportation services for transit, highway, state agencies, cities and countiesTake responsibility for corridor studies, forecast modeling, traffic analysis, transportation planning, and impact fee developmentAssimilate and manage dataCollect project-related data as needed, which may include research, interviews with government agencies and clients, map reviews, land use surveys, and socioeconomic analysisPrepare constraints mappingPrepare required documents such as categorical exclusions, environmental assessments, environmental impact studies and other technical reportsAssist in preparation for and participate in public information meetings and hearingsPerform other duties as neededRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Planning, Engineering or a related fieldA minimum of 10 years' experience with transportation planningPossess excellent analytical and communication skillsUnderstanding of transit planning principlesPositive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a teamDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and personnelSolid business development skills; demonstrated ability to relate well to clients; and demonstrated presentation skillsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Planning or closely related fieldA minimum of 5 years experience with transportation planningMS Office, CAD, ArcInfo/ArcViewAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must#LI-MW4What We BelieveHDR is our company.
