We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Global Services Energy, Qatar for a : Site Lifting Specialist (SLS)Job PurposeAssess, analyse, plan and adjust lifting operations on site in line with NOC standardsAdvise Contractor’s objectives and expectations for HSE, accountability and performance of Lifting ActivityMaintain systematic and methodological approach to Lifting Operations and assist Company CPLO by establishing reliable system of documentation, processes and personnel competency assurance;Ensure flawless operation of Lifting and continuous improvement during offshore installation campaign.ResponsibilitiesAct as technical advisor of handling and lifting service for the topsides hook-up and installation CampaignPromote safe handling and lifting operation referring NOC HSE policy and international standardSupervise as Client Lifting Representative the handling and lifting operationsInsures the promotion/implementation of Company Lifting & Handling procedures and safety culture on siteParticipates in the definitions of the Company Lifting & Handling procedures and participates in the internal audits on behalf of CPLOInspect the Main Installation vessel and completion prior mobilization to site and makes sure that ensure about the compliance of lifting equipment, rigging and general lifting organization with COMPANY Standards. Attend the offshore vessel crane audits/inspection as requiredMake sure at fabrication yard that the topsides riggings are properly installed and in good conditionProvide expertise in daily handling & lifting activities including: Categorization of liftsRisk assessment and hazard identificationAssist Company CPLO in technical review of lifting operationsSelection of equipment for lifting operationsAttendance at lifting toolbox talksAssessment of completed jobsReview of generic lift plansPromote safe handling and lifting operation referring NOC HSE police and international standard, review engineering calculation for complex and complicated liftsReview complicated and complex lift plan and attend the liftsPerform condition check and fitness for purpose on lifting appliances, CCUs, and evaluate their utilization on siteProfileIdeally, you will have graduated with minimum Higher Secondary School Education plus a three-year technical diploma (HNC, HND or equivalent).QualificationsMinimum 10 years in the lifting & handling industry at supervisory levelOffshore jacket / topside installation experience preferredTechnical Engineer and / or Industry related qualifications such as OPITO / LEEA / EAL / CPA etc.Broad and extensive knowledge in handling & lifting appliance & operationsWorking to International standards such as: BS, LOLER, etc.!Experienced in Oil & Gas IndustryWorked in onshore & offshore operationsHave working profile such as: Rigger * Rigger Foreman * Rigging Supervisor * Lifting Supervisor * Lifting SuperintendentRisk assessment in relation to health, safety & environmentSupervision of critical and heavy liftsPlanning of critical and non-critical liftsExperience in training and coaching is preferredH2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings.You are fluent in English with both written and verbal communication.You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.What can we offer you?We offer long‑term contract with attractive daily rate, insurance coverage, transportation & expat standard accommodationMinimum level of experience required6 years or moreRequired authorisationsFTW, Offshore requirementsLanguagesEnglish (C-Professional working proficiency)SPIE Global Services Energy is committed to promote diversity.
