This role is responsible for planning, briefing and optimising media and social campaigns to drive brand awareness, engagement, local relevance and business impact while ensuring consistency with the brand strategy.What you will do:Description of Accountability:The Senior Marketing will be responsible for leading brand-level media buying and social media execution in close partnership with external agencies. This role plays a critical part in building brand awareness, engagement and brand equity.The role will own the end-to-end media planning process, including briefing media agencies, evaluating channel recommendations, managing budgets, and ensuring optimal allocation across platforms. The Senior Marketing Executive will work closely with agency partners to review media plans, drive efficiencies, monitor pacing, and continuously optimise campaigns based on performance insights. A strong understanding of media metrics and return on investment is essential with analysis of campaign performance.In addition to media buying, the role will manage the brand’s social media presence with the support of social media agency to drive engagement and social media buzz. This includes setting strategic direction, approving content calendars, overseeing content creation, and ensuring that all social communication aligns with brand guidelines. The Senior Marketing will oversee both always-on and campaign-led social activity, working with agencies to drive engagement, reach, and relevance across platforms.The Senior Marketing will act as the primary point of contact for media and social agencies, setting clear expectations, KPIs, and deliverables. Alongside working closely with other marketing channels, digital marketing, M&S brand principal, merchandising and buying teams across both fashion and food.The Senior Marketing will also stay informed on evolving media trends, platform developments, and emerging opportunities, proactively recommending new approaches to strengthen brand visibility and effectiveness.Required Skills to be successful:Hands-on experience with media channels including META, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, ProgrammaticsExperience of delivering OOH campaignsExperience using social analytic and platform insights and planning toolsComfortable using BI and reporting toolsAbility to evaluate content performance using engagement, reach, views and audience growth metricsAbility to consolidate multi-channel data into clear performance dashboardExperience of campaign optimisation, budget pacing, spend reconciliationKnowledge of ad operation processes, tagging, pixels and tracking set up as well as platform policiesBachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or a related fieldArabic speaker is an advantage.What equips you for the role:7+ years of experience in brand marketing, media planning, or integrated marketing rolesProven hands‑on experience managing media buying and social media agenciesStrong understanding of brand-level media strategySolid knowledge of digital media metrics, attribution, and campaign measurementExperience reviewing and optimising media plans across multiple channelsAbility to translate business and brand objectives into clear agency briefsStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and turn insights into actionHigh attention to detail with strong budget and timeline management skillsExcellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilitiesExperience managing multiple projects and campaigns simultaneouslyHigh standards for brand consistency and quality of executionAbout Al-Futtaim RetailAl-Futtaim Retail has established itself as one of the leaders in Retail across the Middle East, Africa & Asia over the past 30 years.
